Coco Keys

The kids had a day off of school, so we decided to head to an indoor water park to have some fun.

We all had a blast and everyone fell asleep easily after eight hours of water fun.

Happy Valentine's Day

Lexi wanted a gumball machine box.  We did our best.

She made butterfly valentine's for all of her friends.  We got Scooby Doo valentine's for all of Jayvan's friends, along with a bag of Scooby Snacks.  I forgot to take pictures of those though. Second child syndrome, I suppose.

We had a great Valentine's Day, full of love.

Daddy Daughter Dance

Lexi's school hosted a Daddy Daughter Dance.  Matt brought home these colorful flowers for Lexi.  She loved them.

 Lexi got all dressed up in her sparkly red dress, and Jayvan had to be included in the photos.

 I think they look amazing.

I heard they had a great time at the dance, and Lexi is already looking forward to next year.

The Zoo in January

It was a gorgeous sixty-degree day in January, so we loaded up the kids and headed out to the zoo.  Aiden was able to join us too.  It was an absolutely gorgeous day.

The zoo just got a new polar bear named Berlin, and we were so excited to meet her.  She seems to really like it in KC.

 We also happened to be by the tiger enclosure when they did some training.  It was pretty cool to see the tiger so up close.

 For some reason, I found this sign funny.

 Jayvan won a meerkat staring contest.

Sharon/Sharin'

Lexi has a coin bank that counts her money for her.  She put some change in and excitedly exclaimed, "I have over twelve hundred monies." ($12.54)

Matt said, "Well, you better get to sharin' then."

Lexi paused a moment and sincerely asked, "Who's Sharon?"

I love her.

Popcorn and Pajamas

It was our turn to host a playdate.  Unfortunately a lot of our friends succumbed to the Winter ickies, so we had a small group this time.  We had a fun small get-together anyway.

Jayvan's First Sledding Trip

On New Year's Day we bundled up the kiddos and headed out to the slopes (aka a little hill next to Lexi's school).  Jayvan's coat was accidentally left at daycare, so all we had were some old hot pink hand-me-downs.  He rocked it.
