First Snow!
Last year was a big let-down in the snow department, so we were pretty happy to see some of the white stuff this year. Lexi and Aiden had a great time playing in the backyard.

Picture Time
Taking picture for out Christmas cards can be pretty entertaining.
Can't you feel the love?
This one graced the front of our Christmas cards this year:
Crown Center
We decided to head up to Crown Center and Union Station to have some fun. We borrowed Papa Bo's suburban and loaded up the cousins.
We started with lunch at Fritz's.
Jayvan was not digging the hat.
Then we went over to the Crayola Winterland that was set up. The kids had some fun running around there for a bit, but then they decided to opt out of seeing the Santa who was there.
We walked (or ran in Lexi's case) over to Union Station
The kids spent the waiting time playing games on cell phones.
The kids all got to see Santa and Mrs. Claus just before we got on the train.
Then we walked through the Holiday Express.
There were some gingerbread houses that were part of a competition. We were impressed.
We had a great time.

The kids stopped for a photo op with the Lego people.
The line for the Holiday Express was pretty long, so we had plenty of time to photos.

Matt's Christmas Party
Matt and I had a night out going to his work party in the Power & Light district. We ended up hanging out at the party for a while and then going to see the Hobbit. It was a fun night.

Pager
There are some things that just make you feel old. First of all, we were watching Wheel Of Fortune. That show reminds me of my grandpa, because we always watched it at his house. Remembering the fact that he passed away ten years ago also makes me feel old.
Then this throwback puzzle came up.
Lexi asked me what a pager was. I asked her what she thought it was. She answered, "Probably the person who puts pages in books."
I feel like I should start telling stories about walking seven miles to school, uphill both ways.

North Pole Party
My friend Rachel threw an amazing North Pole Party for the kids.
Santa came to visit and Lexi got to be his special helper. She helped sing all of the songs.Jayvan got a chance with the jingle bells.
Rachel had all of the ingredients to make reindeer food. Lexi is excited to put it out for Christmas Eve.
Everyone brought their favorite Christmas treat.
Jayvan sat still just long enough to get a quick picture with Santa. Lexi had a longer conversation with the jolly old elf.
The kiddos enjoyed some treats together.
Rachel even had a whole hot chocolate bar.
It was such a fun time to celebrate the holiday with our friends. We even got to make some new friends.
