Spring at the Arboretum

Lexi had an early-release day from school, so we went to the library and then decided to go enjoy the gorgeous weather at the OP Arboretum.  The weather was perfect for a day outside.  Lexi wanted to pose for lots of pictures.  I only wish I had brought the big camera. 

Playing in the Rain

Lexi's soccer game was cancelled due to rain, but she was already so excited about playing in the rain.  So, she put her Winter coat and boots on and ran around splashing in puddles.  Jayvan and I watched from the garage and porch. 

 Jayvan wasn't so sure what all the fuss was about.

 I think she had a blast.

April 1st Sprinkler Fun

 We had a rather warm Winter here in the Midwest and we've started off the Spring with some days that already feel like summer.  I finally got my garden planted and Lexi volunteered to help water everything.  Of course, we also had to get the sprinkler out.  It is just crazy that it is only April 1.

After we finished in the backyard, I planted some flowers in the front flower beds.  While I was doing that, Lexi found an inner-tube in the garage.  She stuck the hose in the gutter that drains onto the driveway and sat on her inner-tube in front of the stream of water.  She then pronounced, "Mom! This waterslide doesn't work."  I wish I had taken a picture of it.  She is so stinking adorable.
