10 Months Old

Jayvan is 10 months old.  It's amazing how quickly he has grown from this little six pound infant to this big toddler (sniff sniff) who can now WALK!

I tried to get a good picture in the big chair, but this little man is on the move, so I could only get one.

Jayvan now has four teeth and he is working on getting food from a bowl into his mouth.  He's getting better at it everyday.

He still talking up a storm and getting into anything he can.  He loves being outside and being in the water.    He is such a happy baby and still loves anyone he meets.  I can't believe we are only two short months away from a big birthday.

Follow the Yellow Brick Road

On Friday afternoon, we decorated Lexi's teacher's door for teacher appreciation week.  The theme this year was "There's No Place Like Timber Creek."  Unfortunately, our artistic talents were lacking and this was about the best we could manage.

Later in the evening we went to watch "The Wizard of Oz" performed by Trilogy School of the Arts.  We didn't take any pictures of the actual show, but Lexi was able to track down her favorite characters for pictures.  She loved the play so much.

She also wanted to snap a picture of her program.

Spring Sing

The Kindergartners performed their "Spring Sing" on Friday.  They sang five songs and I was so impressed that they all knew all of the words.

It would take too long for all five songs to upload to the blog, so here's Lexi's favorite: Silly Street.

Playing in the Rain

Lexi's soccer game was cancelled due to rain, but she was already so excited about playing in the rain.  So, she put her Winter coat and boots on and ran around splashing in puddles.  Jayvan and I watched from the garage and porch.

Jayvan wasn't so sure what all the fuss was about.
I think she had a blast.

Deanna Rose

We decided to take advantage of the beautiful Spring day and meet up with some friends at Deanna Rose.  It sprinkled on us a bit, but other than that it was perfect.

Here is Jayvan showing off his latest skill: standing alone!  Still no steps, but we can wait little man.

Jayvan's First Royals Game

We decided to take Jayvan to his first Royals game.  It was so fun to watch his reaction to everything.  When people around us clapped, he joined in.  Even though it was a little chilly, we all had a blast.

Lexi's favorite part of the Royals games is the outfield experience.  Go figure.
I remember a few years ago when I had to hold her hand while she climbed on this equipment.  Now she is off on her own.  Our girl is getting so big.

We rode the carousel and a friend of ours snapped a picture for us.

Lexi is modeling with her churro.
Then she pretended to take a bite out of this big cone.
The Royals lost (no surprise).

Prom

Aunt Ashley and Kyle went to prom and we went out to document the occasion.  We met up at the square along with half of the town.  The kiddos had some fun on the playground equipment.

We took some photos around the square.
Then we did some shots with the old Chevelle.  This is the car that I drove in high school.  It used to be red back in the day (I'm so old), but my dad has since painted it baby blue.
Lexi recreated one of my old senior pictures.

Jayvan set his sights on some high school girls while we were waiting at the red carpet.
Ashley and Kyle arrived in Kyle's brother's boat and they were dancing! I couldn't believe it.  Kyle is typically pretty shy, so this caught us all by surprise.
I hear they had a great time at prom.
