Adoptive Mamas

We met up with some adoptive mamas and their cuties.  We got to meet a new friend and let the kiddos have some fun together.  I feel so blessed to know so many wonderful women.

Lexi got a new unicorn dream light and unicorn stompees (slippers) for Christmas.  As we were getting ready for the bed the other night, we had this conversation.

Lexi:  Mom, are unicorns real?
Me:  Well, most people would say that they're not, but what do you think?
Lexi:   I think that they're real, but they've all died, so they're all with Jesus in heaven now.
Me:  That's an idea.
Lexi:  Yes, that's where they are: in heaven with Jesus.  I'll get to see them all someday.

Who knows?  She just might be right.

Christmas 2012

Jayvan was up bright and early.  We kept him busy playing in our room for as long as we could, but we eventually set him loose on his sister.

Jayvan found his new basketball goal and Lexi found her keyboard.  They opened their stockings and then we ate breakfast.

We opened up some more gifts and then some family started showing up.

It was a great Christmas.  I think there were about twenty-five people at our house.  It was a wonderful time to celebrate the birth of Jesus and enjoy each other's company.

Christmas Eve

We went to candlelight service at our church, but the only pictures I took are on my cell phone.  We did get a quick family photo when we got home though.

Lexi set up some cookies and milk for Santa.  Nana put the reindeer food out when she left.

We took some quick PJ shots before the kids went to bed.

Toddler Party Time

Jayvan's class had a little Christmas party which essentially involved decorations and snacks.  I'm always impressed by how his teacher gets all of these toddlers to sit still a the same time.

The kiddos had a great time.

Bake-A-Thon 2012

It was time for the annual bake-a-thon again.
Ashley and Kyle got all dressed up to head out to Kyle's work party.

Jayvan took a little time out to chat with his birthmom.
The kids had a blast decorating sugar cookies.

 Apparently cookie decorating is exhausting.

Here are all of the goodies:
