Happy Mother's Day.

Mother's Day was our last morning in Casper.  I woke up to cards and starbucks on my nighstand.

This handsome little dude also slept in a bit, which is another gift to me.

We got packed up and had breakfast with the in-laws at the hotel.

Then we started the four-hour drive back to Denver.  While Wyoming is beautiful, I will admit that it's not the most exciting drive.  At one point we saw a sign that said, "No gas for 65 miles."  It wasn't  a joke.

An added bonus to this mother's day was that we were able to meet up with one of my online mama friends at a Starbucks in Firestone, CO.  It was so great to finally get to hug her and meet her awesome family.

By the time we got back to KC, we were hungry and didn't want to cook when we got home.  So, we stopped at Cracker Barrel.  We don't eat there very often, but it feels like one of those places that I am supposed to go to when I'm traveling.
I even splurged and had a (very sweet) blackberry cobbler.  Jayvan was a fan

Matt and the kids also gave me a hammock for Mother's Day which I absolutely love.  It has been used almost every night.  Lexi also made a book of all the reasons she loves me.  I'm one blessed mama!

Wedding Day!

It was the big day for Papa Bo and Sandie.  We woke up and had breakfast together at the hotel and then got all dressed up to head to the church.

Most of the wedding party consisted of children (grandchildren and great nieces and nephews).  Jayvan was not particularly crazy about standing still for pictures, but hopefully the photographer got a few with him in them.

Here are Papa Bo & Sandie with Sherbo's siblings.  That was another bonus of the trip.  Jayvan got to meet his great aunts and uncle for the first time.

 Papa Bo with his grandkids:

I didn't get any photos of the actual ceremony, because I was wrangling a toddler, but it went wonderfully.  After the ceremony, there was a cake reception in the basement of the church.  You can just feel the love in this picture.

Between the wedding and the dinner, we decided to go take some pictures in front of mountains.

The dinner was at Olive Garden and it was delicious.  Congratulations to the bride and groom!
The kiddos now have two new step-cousins.

C'Mon Inn & Rehearsal

We stayed at a hotel called C'Mon Inn in Casper.  While the name is a bit cheesy, the hotel was actually very nice.  The kids got to feed the Koi and swim to their hearts content.

Jayvan was particularly fond of this water fountain that wasn't calibrated correctly.  Luckily, there was a drain on the floor near the fountain.

We all got ready and went to the rehearsal at Sandie's church.  I don't have any pictures of the actual rehearsal, because Jayvan was sooo over it.  As it turns out, he needed a nap.
Sandie's brother hosted the rehearsal dinner and it house was conveniently located right across the street from a great park.  The food was great, the company was wonderful, and the park was perfect.

Leaving On A Jet Plane

But, I know when we'll be back again. Sunday.

Papa Boy and Sandie are getting married in Casper, Wyoming.  We flew out to Denver and rented a car to drive to Casper.  I was a little nervous about Jayvan on the plane, but he surprised me by being a  great traveler (other than the descent into Denver). I already knew that Lexi was a great traveler.

The kids got to ride a bus, train, plane, and car all in one day.  I'm proud of my little travelers.
