Sprinklers!

It's hot outside. You may be wearing a spiderman costume or a flowergirl dress. The neighbor's sprinklers are on. You run in the sprinklers. That is all

Happy 75th!

"Do not regret growing older. It is a privilege denied to many."

We all got together at my mom's house to celebrate my grandma's 75th birthday. My grandma is a wonderful lady who filled my childhood with so many fond memories. Some of those may have been a bit embarrassing at the time, but looking back all I remember is how much she loved us and loved the people around her. She'll always be a little more outspoken and "ballsy" than I am, but she has taught me so many great lessons in life and I wouldn't be the woman I am without her. She may lament the wrinkles on her face and the slower pace she has to take, but I'm so thankful that she is a part of our childrens' lives!

Our kids call her GG, but she'll always be Grandma Jo to me no matter how many times she changes her name.

We love you!!

Second Grader!

The Summer flew by and Lexi was so excited about school. She wanted to curl her hair and wear her favorite dress.

Little brother got in on the pictures too.

Meet the Teacher

Lexi got to meet her teacher and see that a lot of her friends will be in her class. We're excited for a great year with Mrs. Noble.

Wonderscope

In an effort to get the last bits out of Summer, I took the kids to Wonderscope.

I don't know how you couldn't smile when you see this kid in chicken boots.

Seven Years Old

I'll admit that birthdays make me sentimental. I think back about her birth, her babyhood, the toddler years, etc.  This year, I decided to do a little scavenger hunt for her gifts. She loved it.

She was so excited about her Lego pool.
Since the day before her sixth birthday, she has been asking for her seventh birthday to be at Chuck E Cheese. We acquiesced. She had a great showing of friends and family come for the fun.

 She loved the ticket blaster.

This was Jayvan after the party.
Lexi is such an amazing person and I'm so happy that so many people could come to celebrate her.
