A Weekend Full O' Fun

This last weekend was packed full of fun activities.  On Friday night we celebrated Matt's 34th Birthday with some of my family.  We went to a Chinese restaurant of his choosing and then we came home and played Farkle.  That's a fun game that some people may know as 10,000.

On Saturday morning, Lexi and I had a mommy/daughter date at Arts for Kids at the Arboretum.  We've gone the last couple years and it is a really fun event.
We had a really great time making all of the crafts.

After we made all of Lexi's treasures, we went on a hayride.
I just absolutely love the excitement that this little girl embraces.  When she looked out across the field she exclaimed, "Mom! Look at all of the Fall colors.  They are so beautiful.  Take a picture!"  So, I did.
When we got home, I snapped a shot of all of her creations.

Then, a little later in the afternoon, we headed out the the Ciderfest at the Louisburg Cider Mill. Lexi and Mia had a blast in the bounce house.
We enjoyed our cider donuts, cider slushes, and Lost Trail Root Beer.  Then it was time for some family pictures.  Jayvan didn't seem to be too impressed with the whole thing.

Later in the evening we went and watched the Louisburg band perform their light show, which was concluded with fireworks.  This was apparently Lexi's favorite thing about the whole day.

On Sunday morning, we got together with Matt's family to celebrate the September/October birthdays.  Papa Bo treated us to brunch at the Bristol.  It was delicious.
Lexi completed her weekend full o' fun with a pirate birthday party for her friend Louise and a playdate with her friend Maeve.  Here's hoping that when she is old and gray, she'll look back on her childhood and remember the fun times like these.  I know that I cherish these memories.
